Welcome to the Celtic Guide!
Hi! My name is Jim McQuiston, editor and publisher of Celtic Guide e-magazine. I am a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and so I normally sign my articles -
 "James A. McQuiston FSA Scot."

I am also a member of a few more associations in Scotland and in the United States and I have written several articles for the Highlander magazine and the Scotch-Irish Society newsletter, before branching out on my own to create the Celtic Guide, in January of 2012. Since that day I have published hundreds of pages and dozens of issues with the help of folks from fifteen different countries. All of our work is volunteer. The Google ads you see on these pages help pay the way and we are now in our fourth year!

This section will give you a few hints on how to navigate this site.

First, at the very top you will see a set of tabs, one to take you to the opening Home page. The next tab is a drop-down tab allowing you to access all issues from 2012-2014. The next tab is for the current year's issues, 2015. Next you will find a gateway to our Facebook page, followed by instructions on how to purchase Print Copies of the Celtic Guide at cost, through Amazon.com. We make no money on these print issues. They are offered at cost to the reader. Our Free Music tab will take you to a wide variety of music provided by Celtic musicians throughout the world. The songs are not downloadable digitally as they are offered free of charge through the good graces of the musicians. You can support them by purchasing their CDs where available elsewhere online. The next tab you see is another of my sites with my best Scottish stories on it, appropriately named I Love Scotland. Finally, you'll see a More tab which consists of all the other pages within this website.

Under the masthead artwork you will see another set of tabs. The first contains a Submissions guide for those who wish to submit articles or artwork to the Guide. The second announces our upcoming Themes. Every issue has a theme. Then there is a Contact Us tab if you wish to tell us what you think of our efforts or contact us for any other reason. Under the Featured Articles tab you will find reprints of articles from past issues that we thought we'd make handy for those who may have missed them. This is a work in progress and much more will be added as time goes by. Finally, comes the Navigating This Site tab where you are right now.

In addition, you will see an image of our latest cover that will link you to that issue and all issues from that year. Our e-mag is in the common PDF format and we do our best to keep file size down for fast downloading and opening. The image is accompanied by a few words describing the current issue, and other general knowledge.

We hope you enjoy our all volunteer efforts, and please spread the word around.
