Welcome!
by James McQuiston
Publisher Celtic Guide January 2020 Eight years ago, this month, I started Celtic Guide with the idea that it would become a depository for Celtic related stories and music, and that goal has been achieved. |
Within the pages of this website are packed numerous free music files, and numerous free articles.
Through the years, we received articles and information from 18 different countries, and from dozens and dozens of very talented people from many ethnicities. We began as a PDF publication, and slowly worked into a searchable online form. Not all issues made it to the searchable category, but they are still posted here to read. A lot has happened in those eight years, including my continued involvement in the Oak Island, Nova Scotia, mystery. I have written four books on the subject, along with a few books on other subjects, all available on Amazon. Meanwhile, Alison MacRae has done a wonderful job building a Celtic Guide Facebook page, with its own share of music and stories. |
With all my new found obligations and opportunities, I am announcing the end to new articles being posted on this site.
All the articles and music will remain here as the depository I originally meant this website to be. All new articles will be posted to the Celtic Guide Facebook site that I am turning over 100% to Alison, in appreciation for all she's done. My work here helped me gain a fellowship with the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, and a foot in the door with the Oak Island/Prometheus Entertainment teams, plus I met so many great people from all over this world, and was exposed to some great Celtic based music. I appreciate all the many visitors we get here and on the Facebook site, and the beat will go on, just a little differently than in the past. |
